My journey spans continents and cultures.
Born in Barranquilla, Colombia, to a Colombian mother and German father, I later moved to Switzerland to reconnect with my German heritage.
During the pandemic I documented Swiss life on YouTube, fell deeply in love with photography, and earned my Professional Photography diploma at cap Fotoschule in Zürich.
In July 2023 I founded Jan Schick Photography and now specialise in weddings, business portraits, editorial campaigns, and events.

During the shoot I focus on making you feel comfortable and natural, gently guiding rather than forcing stiff poses.
Post‑production is where I bring your story to life with my signature colour palette and careful editing.

Before starting, I always schedule a short call or listen to your ideas in a voice note. For me, text alone isn’t enough – hearing you helps me truly understand what you want.
2. Agreement & Clarity
Most projects are confirmed with a simple contract outlining exactly what will be produced, delivered, and how pricing works. If there’s no signed contract, my website Terms and Conditions automatically apply to keep everything clear for both of us.
3. Planning & Concept
Together, we define a creative direction and plan, so you know what to expect and feel involved in the process.
4. The Shoot
During the shoot, I focus on making you feel comfortable and natural. I guide you, but never force stiff poses – the best moments come when you feel at ease.
5. Post-Production
I love editing and color grading, using a signature palette that brings a unique look to every project. Fast sneak peeks are always included!
6. Delivery
You’ll receive your final, carefully edited visuals exactly as promised – on time and with clear usage rights.
